Creamer, Mrs. Dorothy Partain

WILLIAMSTON, SC  Mrs. Dorothy Partain Creamer, age 64, of 9 Elrod Drive, Williamston, SC, wife of the late William Larry Creamer, died Tuesday, December 03, 2002 at the Anderson Area Medical Center in Anderson.

Born in Belton, SC on September 18, 1938, Mrs. Creamer was a daughter of the late J. S. Partain and the late Jessie Dickert Partain. She was office manager at Big Creek & Hammond Water Company with 27 years of service. She received the South Carolina Water Association Office Manager of the Year Award in 2001. She began her career with the Southern Bank and Trust Company and was then employed at the Palmetto Baptist Association as secretary prior to the water company. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and was very active in numerous capacities.

Surviving are three sons, William Mark Creamer, Donald L. Creamer, both of Williamston and Ronald L. Creamer of Virginia Beach, VA; two brothers, James Richard Partain of Anderson, and Ralph A Partain of Williamston; one sister, Emma Sue P. McAlhaney of Williamston and ten grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of forty-five years, the late William Larry Creamer and a brother, Charles H. Partain.

Services will be held on Friday, December 6, 2002 at 2:00 pm at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Williamston, SC with Dr. David Cox and the Reverend James Kelly officiating. Serving as Honorary Escort will be the Directors and Employees of Big Creek & Hammond Water Company. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Anderson.

The body is at The McDougald Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, December 5, 2002 and will be placed in the church at 1:30 pm on Friday.

The family will be at the residence.
